Getting accepted to CPA networks

by admin on September 27, 2009

Guys, (and girls), there is a big change that has been sweeping the cpa industry. In the beginning of the year, the best way to get into a cpa network was to have a good looking website, and apply with your information, submit it, and then call them (during their office hours) and introduce yourself. When they ask how you will be driving traffic to offers, you’d say PPC, and boom – you were accepted.

Now, if you say you do PPC ads, things are a lot tougher. This is mostly due to the Oprah Winfrey lawsuits against webmasters who were using her image and endoresement without approval. And the FTC, investigating many review sites that have fake testimonials and do not conform to the legal requirements (disclaimers, terms of service, etc). So, in short, pay per click advertising is a lot riskier than it was at the beginning of 2009.

So, what do you do? I know it’s funny as heck, but many of the cpa networks now will go easy on you if you tell them you will drive traffic by using email marketing. Email marketing!

I woulda never thought that would be the case, but indeed, many people who are getting into the main cpa networks are succeeding with this strategy. If you decide to go this route, be sure you understand single and double opt-in, can-spam, and unsubscribe links. Your email campaigns must meet legal requirements, but if they do, you can get into the big cpa networks, and succeed with driving traffic using your preferred methods.
